Privacy Policy

Data Protection
Whenever our law firm’s website offers the possibility of providing personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses), any input by the user is expressly made voluntarily.
Our law firm is not able to process encrypted e-mails.
Third parties are prohibited from using the contact data published in our legal notice, or comparable particulars such as postal addresses, e-mail addresses, and telephone and fax numbers, for sending any information whatsoever which has not expressly been requested. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action against senders of spam mails who infringe the above prohibition.
On this website, external enterprises use third-party technologies to collect and store data for marketing and optimisation purposes. As a rule, the following usage data is stored:
  • the page from which the file was requested

  • the name of the requested file

  • the time and date of the request

  • the volume of data transmitted

  • access status (“file sent”, “file not found”, etc.)

  • the type of web browser or the operating system used

  • the IP address of the requesting computer

Usage profiles can be created from this data under a pseudonym. Cookies can be used for this. Cookies are miniature text files that are stored locally in the cache of the user’s browser and enable that browser to be recognised again. The usage data thus stored is for statistical purposes only; it is not compared with other data sets and never passed on to third parties. Without express consent from the person concerned, the data thus collected is not used for identifying him or her as a visitor to our website, nor is it combined with the pseudonym carrier’s personal data. The user may at any time object with future effect to his or her data being collected and stored.
Exclusion of Liability
The content of this website is merely for general information; it does not constitute legal advice within the meaning of the Legal Advice Act. Notwithstanding continuous updating and meticulous verification of the content of its homepage, our law firm assumes no guarantee for the up-to-dateness, accuracy, completeness or quality of the information provided or for its permanent availability. Liability claims against the law firm involving material or non-material loss or damage, which has been caused by use or non-use of the information provided or by use of incorrect or incomplete information, are excluded altogether, unless deliberate or grossly negligent culpable conduct on the part of the author can be proved. Subject to Civil Code § 675 (2), the law firm’s liability for any loss or damage caused by computer viruses on retrieving or downloading data or by the installation or usage of software are likewise excluded.

The law firm’s Internet offering is without obligation and subject to alteration at any time. Without notice, the law firm is expressly entitled to amend, supplement or delete individual pages, parts of pages and their content or structure, or the entire Internet offering, and to either temporarily or permanently discontinue publication of its website.

The same applies for the content of external websites to which this homepage contains a link.
Links / Disclaimer
Under applicable legislation, our law firm is only responsible for its own information and for the content that it posts in its own Internet offering. Insofar as our law firm – by providing direct or indirect hyperlinks – enables access to other parties’ content that is beyond our own sphere of responsibility, this is done expressly without any guarantee. Our law firm bears no responsibility for third-party content, nor does it instigate the transmission of such content. Our law firm does not specify to which recipients any third-party information is to be communicated, nor does it select or alter the third-party content that is transferred; it consequently has no knowledge thereof, and in the event of it containing illegal content it is not technically possible for our law firm to prevent its usage, nor can it be expected to do so. No automatic temporary or interim storage of external content is triggered by the retrieval and linkage method used, so that on the part of the law firm no responsibility for such content is incurred.

When each link was first installed, the external content was checked; no illegal content was established. We have no influence on the current or future design, content or authorship of the linked pages. Our law firm therefore expressly does not embrace any of the content of any of the linked pages and it dissociates itself from said pages, in particular ones modified after the link was installed. As soon as our law firm becomes aware that a specific offering to which it has provided a link is illegal or liable to prosecution, it shall immediately remove or disenable the link to such offering, insofar as this is technically possible and may reasonably be expected.

The provider of the page to which the link is made – not the provider who by installing a link merely draws attention to the respective publication – is solely liable for any illegal, incorrect or incomplete content, and in particular for any loss or damage that is incurred following installation of the link as a result of using or failing to use the external content or other third-party information.
Copyrights, Labelling Rights
All the content on our law firm’s website is protected by copyright. This applies in particular for pictures, artwork, texts, and sound, video and animation files, and includes their arrangement on the pages of the website as well as the structure and design of the website. The downloading or temporary storage of one or more of these pages is only permitted for the purpose of viewing same on a computer or VDU. The reproduction, permanent storage and on-transmission of the content of this website, and further use of these pages (or parts thereof) in other electronic or printed publications and the publishing thereof (also in the Internet), are not permitted without our express prior written consent.

All trademarks and labels named on this website, for which protection has possibly been obtained by third parties, are governed without restriction by the provisions of trademark law as in force at the time and subject without restriction to the proprietary rights of the respective registered owner. It may not be concluded simply because they are mentioned on our website that trademarks are not protected by third-party rights.

There is therefore a risk of third parties gaining knowledge of the content of such emails and documents. Our law firm is only able to monitor emails which it sends and receives itself. When you communicate with us by email, you grant us the right to carry out such monitoring. If we receive an email from you, we assume that we are entitled to respond by email; if this is not the case, you are expressly requested to use some other form of communication.
